The Board of Administration (commonly called the BOA) functions as the standing administrative committee of the conference between Annual Conference seatings. Their focus is to create and manage policy of the entire conference within the limits of the Book of Discipline. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

The purpose of the Kingdom Ministry Group is to see to the development of sustainable and vital Free Methodist societies by fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the Annual Conference to sponsor church planting projects and care for societies requiring revitalization. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

The Ministerial Appointments Committee (commonly called the MAC) is responsible for appointing qualified ministers to ministries and monitoring progress and growth. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

The Ministerial Education and Guidance (commonly called the MEG) is responsible for qualifying, guiding, counseling, and mentoring candidates for ordination as they prepare for ministry. In addition, the MEG is responsible for pastoral accountability, disciplinary actions, and partnering in restoration. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

On May 14, 2022, Reverend Clare Ferguson-Bravo reminded us in the Annual Conference morning devotion that we’re called to take a step of faith – to walk (or sometimes run!) faithfully in the path that God has set for us, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart around us.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for preparing for the Annual Conference a list of nominations for positions vacated by either resignations or expiration of terms and reviewing board and committee memberships in light of the standing rules of the annual conference. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.

Each year, the Free Methodist Church recognizes God’s calling on the lives of men and women to lead within the church as Elders through laying on of hands and the consecration of their ministry. This year we ordained four new Elders (meet them at https://youtu.be/O1M8KtdcZ28).

In addition to ordination service, we also were excited to welcome in Reverend Jon Sato as our incoming Superintendent for the Free Methodist Church in Southern California.
