Community Response: Stories of Impact and Ongoing Support

As our communities continue responding to the wildfires’ impact, we’re witnessing incredible examples of church family in action. Here’s how your support is making a difference and where help is still needed.

Church Updates

Expressions Church

After losing their building to the fires, Expressions Church continues their ministry with remarkable resilience. “Our invitation from the Lord was to be the church beyond the walls after our walls burned down,” shares Pastor Christopher Spolar. The congregation has secured a temporary location and continues serving their community while assessing long-term needs.

Stories of Hope

Churches Supporting Churches

Rose City Church’s relief drive demonstrated the power of coordinated response. With professional volunteers helping organize donations and community members working together, they created not just a distribution center but a place of peace for those in need.

Beyond Building Walls

Even after losing their facility, Expressions Church immediately focused on community needs. They’ve created a relief page connecting needs with resources, coordinating volunteers, and organizing prayer walks through affected areas.

Family Serving Family

One family who lost their home demonstrated extraordinary grace by immediately helping organize relief supplies for others. This spirit of service despite personal loss exemplifies our church community’s strength.

Childcare Support Network

Through International Child Care Ministries support, we provided childcare assistance for five families during school closures, enabling parents to manage crisis needs while knowing their children were safe.
