Prayer Focus

Loving Father,

We lift up our FMCSC family affected by these wildfires. Grant strength to our church communities facing evacuation, and wisdom to all those making difficult decisions for their safety. We especially pray for our pastors and church leaders as they care for their congregations during this challenging time.

Provide comfort and refuge to those displaced from their homes. Guide those offering shelter, support, and resources. We thank you for the host families opening their doors and the volunteers serving tirelessly.

Watch over our first responders working to protect lives and homes. Give courage to those joining the response efforts, and help them contain these fires. Shield all those on the front lines as they face danger to keep others safe.

Lord, be with each person, family, and congregation affected. You know their individual needs – for safety, for peace, for provision. Unite us as your church family to support one another through this crisis.

Guide us in the days ahead as we seek to be your hands and feet to our neighbors in need. Help us emerge from this challenge with stronger bonds as a community of faith.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
