We are pleased to present the 2024 End of Year report from our Board of Administration (BOA). This report, now available in both English and Spanish, will give you a summary of the ongoing initiatives and decisions that were made by the board since the last Annual Conference.
Key highlights include:
- Board Retreat and Strategic Direction: The BOA retreat set a strategic foundation for the year, focusing on team building and alignment of board members for effective, purpose-driven leadership.
- Strategic Planning Session with Randy Goetz: A strategic planning session led by Randy Goetz in September transitioned the board towards a focus on long-term strategic leadership and growth initiatives, rather than a purely administrative role.
- Detailed Meeting Reports and Farewell to Colleen Hurley-Bates: The board issued detailed reports on various administrative topics, including changes in membership and budget approvals, and expressed gratitude to Colleen Hurley-Bates for her dedicated service and significant contributions as she termed off the board.

The Role of the BOA
The Board of Administration acts as the conference’s standing administrative committee between Annual Conference sessions. Their primary focus is to develop and manage policies for the entire conference within the constraints of the Book of Discipline. Comprising an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders, the BOA ensures that we remain on a path of spiritual growth and community impact.
