Annual Conference: A Time of Renewal

Our Annual Conference each May is more than just an event; it’s a defining moment in our year, setting the tone for the months ahead. This year’s gathering was particularly invigorating. If you were unable to join us, you can catch up on all the key moments here.

We’re standing on the brink of an exciting new chapter, filled with hope and anticipation for what God has planned for the Southern California Conference. This sense of expectancy is fueled by the recent General Conference, a global forum that united leaders and believers in shared dialogue and vision.

Celebrating New Leadership: Reverend Kenny Martin

A highlight of this season is the election of Reverend Kenny Martin as Bishop. His journey is a tapestry of unwavering commitment, deep spiritual insight, and a heartfelt passion for our church and its mission. Reverend Martin’s leadership, evident in both his significant achievements and his countless acts of care and mentorship, is a testament to the trust and belief our denomination places in his capabilities.

On Saturday, November 18 we welcomed him as Bishop to the conference with a celebration of worship, inspiration, and thanksgiving. If you weren’t able to attend, you can watch the Bishop’s complete message by visiting our YouTube channel.

Embracing Change: A Season of Introspection and Growth

As we transition from the vibrant energy of summer to the reflective calm of autumn, we are reminded of the ever-changing nature of our spiritual journey. This time of year calls us to deepen our engagement with Scripture and to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Pastoring through these seasonal shifts is a journey of both joy and challenge. The metaphor of falling leaves, signifying renewal and the promise of new growth, resonates with our mission. We stand together in support of each step you take in ministering in His name, united in a community that cherishes and uplifts each other.

Community Milestones and Celebrations

Our conference is a tapestry of diverse stories and milestones. This season, we celebrate significant anniversaries, new life, and the continuous growth of our community:

  • Celebrating 12 years of fellowship and service at Rose City.
  • Honoring 20 years of Light and Life West’s impactful presence.
  • Rejoicing with Alex Bowman on the arrival of a new baby.
  • Commemorating 18 baptisms at Lamb’s, a testament to our growing faith.
  • Reflecting on the unity and insights from the Spanish Pastors Gathering.
  • Applauding the dynamic relaunch of 180 City Church.
  • We welcome your stories and celebrations to share with our conference!

Forward Together: Writing Our Story

As we navigate this period of dynamic change and growth, it feels like we are turning the pages of a new chapter in our collective story. We’re filled with faith, dedication, and purpose, each playing our part in the unfolding narrative of our conference.

Let us continue to be guided by our faith, uplifted by our community, and inspired by the Holy Spirit as we step into this season with renewed hope and purpose. Together, we are writing a story of transformation, unity, and love.

Stay blessed until our next shared chapter.
