How does a leader or a group of leaders unite their district and remind everyone that we are part of a larger family? If "It's Good to Belong," what does that mean? For our Urban LA District, their answer was to host a district party. Congregants, lay people, board members and pastors from such churches as Hermon Cantonese, Amanuel Ethiopian, LA Second, Verdugo, Hermon and others recently got together to fellowship, play games, eat, worship and pray.

While this event on August 30th made for quite the warm time, it was also accentuated by lots of happy smiles and good conversation. We hope other districts will look to similar ideas and solutions to address this very real concept: we all belong to a larger family - and it's GOOD to belong.
